This is my first tattoo. It's a bird perched on a cherry blossom. Originally, I chose it because I thought it was beautiful and I've always loved nature but after a few years I have developed a deeper meaning for it. I picked this image out of a giant book of flash called Tattoo Sourcebook from the same editors of tattoofinder.com
This is my second tattoo. I was inspired first by the album cover of an Apocalyptica CD and then by the Man Ray photo see in my blog. I have played cello for almost 10 years and really love the idea that the female body is the same shape. I designed these myself and included cherry blossoms to match my first tattoo and to make it my own.
This is my main inspiration.
This is my most recent tattoo that I got matching with my best friend. It is the Om symbol surrounded by a cool mandala-type design. We wanted the om symbol but not just by itself and we actually found this design on Google Images. It's not our own design but we love it like it is. The symbol means a lot to both of us and it actually strengthened our friendship!
I do plan on getting several more tattoos in the future but I feel like I should take my time with it. Also, they're expensive and I get paid minimum wage. :)
